I have been a client of LVH since 1994, and prior to that, with Dr. Carey when she was associated with a Cheshire vet group, testing our first lab for allergies. I was elated that she began her practice in Litchfield. We are now enjoying our 3rd lab and current cat. Everyone that I have encountered at LVH has been very helpful and courteous.
I am visiting the area, and my dog developed a problem. I called multiple veterinary offices and was unable to be seen since I was not a client. I spoke with Amanda in the office, and she took down my information and advised me to call back daily to check for openings. It took a few days, but I was able to see Dr. Trusock (wonderful). The waiting area and exam room were very clean. My dog was diagnosed quickly, received antibiotics, and we were on our way. I was extremely happy with the whole experience.
This practice was kind enough to put my dear dog down after she fell very ill. My regular vet wasn’t open on Saturdays, and Litchfield Veterinary was kind enough to make my angel’s passing not only easy on me but on her as well. I highly recommend this practice for their kindness and professionalism. I found the building to be extremely clean and free of strong odors (usually associated with vet practices).
Dr. Lavery and her team were so very kind and brought a moment of peace to my little angel’s body before she passed. Thank you for making a really terrible experience a positive one!

We’ve brought our little guy since we brought him home. Kind, caring, and professional atmosphere. The vets get on the floor with your pup and play while talking to the humans. No crazy rules like you can’t move from your seat once in the room. 100% recommend for all pet needs.
