Welcome to Litchfield Veterinary Hospital! We are honored that you’ve chosen us to care for your pet. Our team provides exceptional medical and surgical services — delivered with courtesy, respect, and compassion.

What to Expect

As a new client, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs from start to finish. Here’s what your visit will look like:

  • You’ll be warmly greeted upon arrival and checked in at the front desk.
  • A veterinary technician will escort you and your pet to an exam room, ask questions about your pet’s history, current condition, and reason for the visit, and gather information for the doctor.
  • One of our veterinarians will perform a full exam, discuss findings, and recommend any diagnostic testing if needed.
  • Your pet’s doctor will explain possible diagnoses and treatment options.
  • A technician will review at-home care instructions, medications, and answer any additional questions.
  • Our reception team will process payment and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.

We encourage you to ask questions at any time — our team wants you to feel informed and confident in your pet’s care plan.

Patient Medical Records

To ensure the best treatment for your pet, we require medical records to be sent to us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Our reception team will gladly assist in obtaining these records from your previous veterinarian.

New Patient Deposit Policy

Litchfield Veterinary Hospital requires a $75 new patient deposit (payable by credit or debit card) to schedule an appointment.

  • This deposit will be credited to your account and applied toward your pet’s visit.
  • Deposits are refundable if the appointment is canceled 24 or more hours in advance.
  • Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or for missed appointments without notice.

This policy ensures we can provide each patient with the time and attention they deserve.
