Appointment Policy

We operate primarily by appointment. This allows ample time for enough time for thorough patient examinations as well as scheduled ultrasound, radiology, dental, and surgical procedures.

  • Emergency and urgent cases always receive top priority.
  • While we strive to see every client on time, delays may occasionally occur when urgent cases require immediate attention. We do our best to communicate with clients if a delay is expected.

We recommend scheduling your appointment in advance by calling us at 860-393-0593.

Urgent Appointments

If no same-day appointments are available, we may admit your pet as an urgent care patient. In this case:

  • Our reception team will provide instructions and arrange a convenient drop-off time.
  • Your pet will be examined by a doctor as soon as possible.
  • A veterinarian will call you to discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan once your pet has been evaluated.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept:

Patient Arrival Policy

For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that all pets be properly secured before entering the hospital.

Dogs

Must be on a leash and properly controlled in the waiting area and exam rooms.

Cats

  • Must arrive in an appropriate carrier.
  • We offer a separate Cat Friendly waiting area.
  • To reduce stress, we recommend placing your cat’s carrier on the bench facing the wall so they are less exposed to sights and sounds of other pets.

Fear Free Considerations

While some pets are very social, new environments, other animals, and unfamiliar noises can cause stress. Using a leash or carrier helps us create a Fear Free experience for your pet and ensures their safety.

If you need assistance or do not have a leash/carrier, please let our team know before entering the building — we are happy to provide one for you.
